Aloha Friday - May 8, 2009

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate click here.

So for almost all my life I've been a "Slob". I'm the queen of clutter and I hate it. I'm trying to get control of the clutter now, but when something needs a home, I'm not sure where to put it. I know there is probably a lot of ideas of organizing things out there on the web, but it can be very overwhelming. So for today's question...

Do You Have Any Household Organizing Tips To Share?

Organizing is something I need to work on here. With the two boys and a small house it is hard.

No, I actually need the tips myself! Well, I guess one thing I did was to buy baskets for each room to place the baby's toys at the end of the day. It was much easier to keep the toys cleaned up this way

Give everyone their own laundry basket. When it comes out of the dryer- it goes into their basket and becomes their problem.

Buy less clothes so don't need to put them at right place everyday

I love my house clean and everything in its place. I have a place for everything and try to make sure it gets back in that place. I use containers, baskets, and label.

The best thing is to stay on top of cleaning. It's easier to spend 5 minutes a day then hours each weekend.

I am not very organized, but I am trying to work on it. I actually just wrote a post on my early efforts this week!
