Aloha Friday - May 29, 2009

Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate click here.

Do You Have A Savings Account? If So, How Much Money/Percentage Do You Put In It Every Week/Month Etc.?

We just started a savings account and want to eventually have enough money to buy (down payment) a house. We haven't figured a set amount or percentage to put in weekly yet, it's just random.

I do have a savings account. I work really hard at being frugal and saving.

We have one, I think about 20% of our total month income goes into it. I have it set up to be automatic.

No savings account! Every time I open one something happens and I have to take it out.

I put all of my money into my savings account each month, and spend what I need to. As long as it stays the same or goes up, I am happy.

We have a savings account, but we only add to it when we can rather than a set amount every month.

We have a savings account but also we have roth ira's which also help. We've got about 15% going into our savings though.

We have a savings account, but have never had much left over to put in it. Right now my income goes in there though.

We have some things set up for savings, but things are tight these days.

Yes but nothing has been going into it since my husband has been laid off. Every penny is counting!
