Welcome to this week’s edition of Aloha Friday.
In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.
If you’d like to participate click here.
My question is:
I was wondering if you have an ironic story that happen to you in your life?
Back before I had children, when I was working, there was a few of us that had our cars broke into during work hours. So the company called the police and they came to ask all of us that had our cars broke into what happen. So when the policeman approached me, he asked if something happen to my car? I said yes, I had somethings stolen. He had his notepad out and started writing. I told him I had a 10 gift card stolen. Then he asked anything else, and with a little hesitation, I said yes, the robbers stole my...uh...radar detector. I felt so weird telling him that, but he wrote it down, asked me what brand it was, how long I've had it and how much I paid for it. After that, I never owned a radar detector again.

I can't think of any at the moment but I must have had some.
While in Venice Italy, We had to get back to the Main Land. There was only one boat going back, Because a boat had broken down. The boat was packed like a can of Sardines!! We knew that it was too late to get a taxis back to the hotel (it was a few miles away and it was late, very dark).
We were talking to people on the boat. One statement was made by someone,"I do not know were the hotel is and with it being dark I will surely get lost" We knew the way back, but no ride. There was three of us. They had three empty seats in their van. So, we had our ride and they had their way back.
I can not honestly think of something this moment. Glad that the officer helped you out.
I'm sure I have, but right off the top of my head, I can't think of anything.
I once go in Bicycle race. Which I assumed all night that I'm going to win but next day in the race, I was the only one who knows I'm in a race, others were far forward and when I came to finish line, they were going back :( :D
I met my husband in a bar and we've been married for over 20 years.
My father remarried a woman 6 months older than me. 9 months before me and my husband's wedding we found out that dad's wife and my future husband had dated for a month while in high school. Is that more gross and weird than ironic?
My life tends to be pretty ironic most of the time, and the irony of that is...I can't think of ONE darn story to share! LOL
Alot of little bad timing things, like driving the speed limit and then going to pass someone, just as a cop is coming the other way, but nothing major!
LOL, that's funny! I wonder what he was thinking when you were telling him that! I know that there are probably a ton of ironic moments in my life, but my mind is drawing a blank right now!
Oh, wow....I'm sure I've had lots of them but my brain is fried now so I'll have to get back to you :-)
Hmm I honestly dont know of any off the top of my head. But thats a great question. and Glad the PD helped you out.
